An X-rated photo purporting to show Justin Bieber turned out to be part of a publicity stunt for the teen dream’s latest music video.
The nude pic “leaked” online after the 18-year-old singer complained on Twitter that his computer and camera had been stolen backstage, prompting rumors Bieber was worried about losing some racy footage.

Bieber played into the buzz, retweeting articles about his “nude photo scandal,” and hinting that something big would happen at noon on Friday, which is when his new video featuring Nicki Minaj, “Beauty and a Beat,” was released.
The video features candid footage of Bieber.

“Since I was 14 I have had a lot of things said about me,” Bieber wrote on Twitter. “From dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family, to saying I had a baby with a woman I never even met, nude pics, drugs, my family, my character … but today … today I get to be in on it.”
While it’s clear the teen got the last laugh, it’s not clear if he’s actually the one in the photo.
