Danielle Milian lost her baby boy hours after his birth due to a condition where organs grow outside the body.

Christina Milian's Newborn Nephew Dies of Omphalocele

's sister Danielle gave birth to a baby boy, only to sadly lost him within hours. The baby was diagnosed with Omphalocele, a birth defect that causes internal organs to grow outside of the body, while Danielle was still pregnant.

Danielle and her husband Richard found out about their baby's condition when looking for the baby's sex. "The tech said, 'I can't see the sex...because I am seeing...intestines," Danielle told Us Weekly in June. "I was told there's almost a 53 percent chance of mortality."

Danielle announced the birth on Wednesday, August 25 on Instagram, writing "Baby Richie has arrived! #prayersup for my #babyboy .. He is already a fighter!"

But hours after that, Danielle wrote "Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye. I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways."

Baby Richie's aunt, Christina was also quick to share her feelings. "The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster but i'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout my sister Danielle & Richards pregnancy," she stated. "The both of them have shown the true measure of courage and faith for the last 9 months and I can't praise them more. Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took."

She continued, "I ask that you keep him and our entire family in your prayers- Especially Danielle, Richard, Naomi & Dj and know that we've all been touched by our little Guardian Angel. His memory will forever live on in our thoughts and our hearts. May he now rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Stay blessed."
