The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William continue to go against tradition and pave the way for an updated version of the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to use their own photographs with newborn Prince George as official portraits. The photos will be the first photos of the Prince since he left the hospital. Kate will choose photos taken by herself, her sister Pippa and her parents Carole and Michael Middleton.
While Kate and William had formal engagement photos taken for their engagement, they are hesitant to disrupt the baby’s routine with a formal shoot.
A royal aide confirmed: “One of the options they are looking at is releasing a couple of family photos they have taken themselves.”
The baby portraits are expected to be released via twitter from Kensington Palace early next week.
