He's one of the world's biggest popstars, and no doubt has a heavy security team, but even Justin Bieber's manager must have been shaken up recently.
Scooter Braun has spoken out following the news that the police have foiled a murder plot to kill the 18-year-old singer.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Scooter said: "We take every precaution to protect and insure the safety of Justin and his fans."
His reassuring comments come as police revealed that they have arrested two men who were allegedly hired to castrate and murder Justin in New York City last week.
KRQE News broke the shocking story, alerting local authorities before the horrific plan could be carried out.
Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane were hired to attack Justin, and it's thought they were also planning to murder other individuals too.
According to E!, the St. Albans Police Department in Vermont confirmed that Mark and Tanner Ruane were picked up by State Police in Vermont and New York, respectively, and are now being investigated in connection with the alleged conspiracy.
"There is no credible evidence to suggest that any individual(s) in the greater St. Albans area were or are in any imminent danger presented by Ruane's brief stay in St. Albans," police said, and also noted that they had identified the intended victims but were not releasing their names.
The motive for the alleged plot is currently unknown. Martin, who reportedly has a tattoo of Justin on his leg, is currently serving two life sentences for raping and killing a 15-year-old girl in 2000.
He reportedly told police the trio planned to kidnap Justin and his bodyguard and strangle them with paisley ties - a gesture that is said to be his signature move, otherwise known as a 'calling card'.
