Whether to like it or not, nobody douts that Gangnam Style is the song of 2012, but on Doomsday (21.12.2012), PSY’s song claimed one billion hits on YouTube. And that record was reached by the official channel alone.
In November, Gangnam Style became the most viewed video in YouTube’s history overtaking Justin Bieber’s song Baby.
Last Friday Gangnam Style broke the Youtube record topping one billion views, of course, after a persistent campaign for this to happen exactely on December 21, when, according to some interpretations of the Mayan calendar, the world was supposed to end…
But it didn’t and the Korean song that made history after the six months since its release, reached and even exceeded the 1 billion threshold by several hundred thousand views.
