The American MC and producer, who is based in Seattle, jumped on stage with the Seattle Symphony as part of the Sonic Evolution project.
Aiming to cross the divide between classical music and the other music projects in music-heavy city of Seattle, the 50-year-old truly gave it his all.
The star arrived on stage to a heavy beat from the 81 full-time musicians, and brought his own hype man to film it all on his mobile phone.
Sir Mix-A-Lot, real name Anthony Ray, addressed the audience before beginning.
He said: "What I want to do tonight is something you really should not do, but once tonight is orchestral movements from the hood night I'm going to leave some of this open.
"If a couple of ladies would like to get on the stage - I don't touch! We will not bite unless you want us to."
With around 30 women flocking to the stage, Sir Mix-A-Lot looked overwhelmed by the support and gave conductor Ludovic Morlot the nod to begin.
Rapping his best-known tune, several of the audience members truly got into the swing of the music and tried out their best 'twerk' - a style of dancing that involves shaking ones bottom.
