Bruno Mars took to Twitter today and released a remix of his hit "Gorilla," a track off his latest album Unorthodox Jukebox — but rather than slow it down or "trap" it up, he simply got a little help from R. Kelly and Pharrell Williams. The former especially makes his presence known on the remix, which Mars officially calls a "G-mix," not that it's G-rated. Where Mars may be charming and suave enough to pull off a line like the song's chorus, "You and me, baby, making love like gorillas," only R. Kelly has the hubris and swagger to shout, "I'm like an anaconda in your garden/Baby girl, I'm explorin'," in the next verse.

Pharrell opens the track with a salacious rap that ties together yoga and Yoda in ways George Lucas likely never imagined. He sets the thematic pace for track, which falls right in line with Mars' original steamy verses. When Kelly comes in, "Gorilla" becomes the sort of sex jam that made him a bedroom favorite in the early Nineties. He adds in some simian "ooh-ooh-ooh-oohs" and "ah-ah-ah-ahs" before singing about cheetah bras and heels before proclaiming himself king of the jungle.
What this collaboration portends, though, is maybe a look at the guests who might join Mars when he plays the Super Bowl halftime show next year. Guests, that is, who might not give America the bird.
