Just call him Luigi Timberlinson.
We happen to be quite big on the idea of Louis Tomlinson staying in One Direction as the resident sassypants, who likes to flash an ankle every now and again, is supportive of the benefits of a good cup of tea, and enjoys wearing teeny weeny silky shorts while showing off his ball skills.
However, his bandmate Liam Payne has hinted that Louis could be destined for bigger and brighter things. He seems to reckon that el Tommo is simply WASTED doing the ‘You know I know you know I know you’ll know that I know, you know...’ bit of Best Song Ever, and should be using his talents in the acting world instead.
Chatting with Hot Hits, Liam started the whole convo by talking about the respect he’s recently found for fellow chart topper and looks-good-in-a-suit singer Justin Timberlake, after seeing his new movie and getting inspired about his transition from curly boybander to MEGA STAR.
“Do you know what I saw the Justin Timberlake new movie….it was really, really good.”
“I am very proud of the idea that he has come from just being in a boyband to doing something like that, but I don’t think I’ve got the talent for that. He is a very talented guy to be able to pull off that as well as he does, as being one of the best performers in the world.”
But while Liam seems aware that his gift lies in the world of music, and that he’s obviously far too sensible to be playing the Dad in a Sound of Music re-make or getting his Paynis out in a modern version of The Full Monty, he definitely knows a man sassy enough for the job.
“Because he puts himself in a lot of roles, I think Louis would be quite good”, Liam explained about his career suggestion for Louis. A lot of roles? Sausage? Cheese and onion? Cinnamon?
“He will sit on the bus sometimes and tell us lots of stories and he’ll put himself in the character. I do reckon he would be quite good actually.”
Ahhh, now we understand. Well, we’ve all seen Louis’ Oscar-worthy acting skills already from back in the day when he was a TV extra before finding fame with 1D. It was quite frankly a haunting and emotional performance, which we should all watch 90 times a day and never forget.
