The New Kids on the Block have advised Justin Bieber to enjoy his success and not to worry too much about his current troubles.

Bieber is being sued for assault by a photographer who claims he was injured in a 2012 confrontation, and he is also facing a possible battery charge for allegedly spitting at his neighbor.

Jordan Knight of the New Kids on the Block has now offered advice to Bieber, by urging him not to pay attention to media reports.

“We don’t know how many stories are exaggerated,” Knights told E! News. “Don’t listen to the hype of the media… Just be you, have fun. Have fun would be the main thing [I'd tell him]!”

His bandmate Joey McIntyre offered his opinion that much of the criticism Bieber has received has been unfair.

“When I think of what I did when I was 19 or 20… I made some mistakes and I think we all have,” McIntyre recalled. “Unfortunately for some people, they have to live it all over the world or all over the internet.”

He continued: “You kind of feel for the kid. He’s probably making some mistakes but hopefully he will get through it and realize there is more to life than playing arenas.”

Bieber is currently on tour, and is scheduled to play in Omaha and Chicago over the next week.
