Xiao Liwu’s enclosure will be covered in snow on Monday, March 19, as a special treat for the nine-month-old cub and his mother, Bai Yun.
The pair have their own space and are on exhibit from 9 a.m.-to noon daily.
The other panda enclosure, featuring Xiao Liwu’s father Gao Gao, will also get a dusting of snow, according to a press release.
Xiao Liwu is the Justin Bieber of the San Diego Zoo — but only in the loyalty of his fans and his ability to attract photographers, not in career-building or reputation-destroying antics.
Xiao Liwu is, by some accounts, sweet-natured. The only meltdown will be the snow.
