Despite the fact that Justin Bieber suffered thru the WORST BIRTHDAY EVER just days before a MESSY WEEK of disappointment and very public rage meltdowns in the past few weeks leading up to a huge concert cancelation in Portugal that has been blamed on poor ticket sales (as well as possible health problems), Bieber‘s manager Scott Samuel Scooter Braun swears that there is “nothing wrong” with The Biebs. Scooter spoke to E! News‘s Marc Malkin at the South by Southwest Festival currently underway in Austin, TX and went out of his way to PROFUSELY deny that there is anything amiss with young master JB. HMM. Is this a matter of the Scooter doth protest too much or is more a matter of much ado about Biebs ?
The word “meltdown” has been tossed around lately with Justin Bieber. The singer raised eyebrows after being hospitalized for breathing problems, wearing a gas mask, getting into a scuffle with paparazzi and, on Monday, canceling a concert in Portugal. But now Bieber’s manager Scooter Bruan wants to reassure Beliebers. “There’s nothing wrong with him,” Braun told “E!” Monday at the SXSW festival. “He’s in a great place.” Braun said the Portugal concert cancellation wasn’t because of low ticket sales, but that it happened awhile ago because of technical issues stemming from the time it takes to move the concert production from one location to another. “It has nothing to do with anything other than that,” Braun told Marc Malkin of “E!.” “Tell everyone Justin is good, really good.” Meanwhile, Bieber seemed to have a blast at Monday’s show in Lisbon. “PORTUGAL was RIGHT TONIGHT!!” he tweeted, adding,”thanks to all the fans…the beliebers tonight. incredible show!”
I mean … of course that’s what he’s going to say. If I had control of a little golden goose like Justin Bieber, I wouldn’t DARE say anything that would make it sound at all like there is trouble afoot. That being said, and I say this with complete sincerity, I truly do hope that there is nothing wrong with Justin Bieber. He may annoy the eff out of a lot of people but, hello, he’s a 19 year old kid … many 19 year old kids only exist to annoy the Hell out of everyone around them. Not only do I hope that JB is doing well but I hope that if he appears to NOT be doing well (despite what his manager says to the contrary) that the adults around him will put his well-being ahead of his bizzy work schedule. Maybe the Portugal cancellation was decided so that JB could rest a bit … that would be fine, I think. Whatever is going on, I do wish nothing but the best for The Biebs. Annoying or not, the kid shouldn’t be running himself ragged and I wouldn’t wish ill on him no matter how much his saggy pants drive me crazy.
