The actress who played an Assistant District Attorney in Batman Begins was there as a key witness in to witness a murder trial!
Katie watched from a back corner of the courtroom as her good friend Leigh Bishop prosecuted the case.
Eye-wtinesses to Katie's surprising court appearance say she wore no make-up, drew little attention to herself, and observed the proceedings discretely.
Was Katie just there to support her friend?
Or was she doing research for an upcoming role as a court stenographer for falls in love with a repeat offender?
Who knows?!
Either way, the single mommy has tons of time on her hands after her Broadway bomb Dead Accounts was recently cancelled.
The defendant, Li Hangbin, stands accused of heinously murdering his 2-month-old daughter back in 2007.
