Korean rapper and singer Psy’s Gangnam Style music video is officially the most-viewed video on YouTube ever, with over 816 million views since it was posted on July 15, 2012. The video just surpassed Justin Bieber’s video for Baby, which has 803 million views since it was released in February 2010.
Gangnam Style already set YouTube’s record for the Most Liked video ever posted to the site, with its total now standing at 5.3 million likes and 323,000 dislikes. Bieber’s “Baby” video has 1.4 million likes and 3.1 million dislikes.
Since the video was posted on YouTube four months ago, PSY has performed his signature gangnam style dance alongside Britney Spears on Ellen, performed with Madonna at Madison Square Garden and most recently performed with MC Hammer at the 2012 American Music Awards. In September, the K-POP singer signed with Schoolboy Records, the label of Scooter Braun (Bieber’s manager).
