Melrose Place Actress Convicted Of Vehicular Homicide, Gets Five ...

amy locane convicted vehicular homicide assault melrose place five ten years prison

Every detail of this situation continues to remain absolutely tragic!

Former Melrose Place star Amy Locane-Bovenizer was convicted this week of vehicular manslaughter and assault with an auto after killing a 60 year-old NJ woman and severely injuring her husband while driving drunk.

The actress was sentenced to five to 10 yeas in prison for the first charge and three-to-five for the second; it's expected she'll be allowed to serve her sentences concurrently.

Amy's blood alcohol level was at three times the legal limit when she fatally injured Helene Seeman in Montgomery Township, NJ back in 2010.

The prosecution wasn't exactly popping champagne bottles after their courtroom victory.

One assistant prosecutor offered:

“This is a sad day for the Seeman family. There were no winners declared by the verdict. There are only losers. A husband lost his dear wife; his two children lost their mother; and Helene’s mother lost her daughter. That loss can never be rectified by a verdict.”

We only hope this tragic affair serves as a cautionary tale to those tempted by drunk driving.

Don't do it. EVER.

You could kill someone and spend a long time behind bars.
