Next week there will be only 16 contestants left on The X Factor USA.
And as finalists battled it out in the second judges round on Thursday night, they had some extra star-power cheering them on, in the form of Justin Bieber.
The 18-year-old pop star and his manager, Scooter Braun, were summoned to L.A. Reid’s TV mansion in Beverly Hills as the over 25s competed for a spot in the live finals.

Viewers
got a glimpse of swimming pools and the stunning vistas of the city
from the sprawling estate as the hopefuls waited to take their turn.
Meanwhile six contestants were seen nervously meeting Reid, Braun and Bieber.
