Country vocalist, Taylor Swift earned her self the title of the highest paid young celebrity under 30 with $57m according to Forbes.
Taylor Swift is said to have earned $57m between May 2011 and May 2012. During this time, Swift released three albums which cashed in the money, they were Taylor Swift, Fearless and Speak Now all of which went platinum at least four times.
The 22 year old blonde earns an average of $1 million per night in her beauty gigs while her endorsement work for products such as CoverGirl makeup have also helped to cement her place at the top of the list.
She was followed by Justin Bieber who earned $55m and was the only male in the top five highest paid celebrities under 30.
Bieber earned his money from music sales, sold-out concerts and endorsements for products like the skincare line Proactiv. The 18 year old Canadian's song, "Baby" is the second most watched on YouTube, which boasts his investment portfolio with stakes in the popular start-up companies Tinychat and Spotify, Forbes said.
Bieber was followed by Rihanna who came in at number 3 with $53 million, followed by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
"We are seeing a convergence of these talented women who know how to work the system," said Dorothy Pomerantz, the Los Angeles bureau chief for Forbes.
"The things they have in common, obviously they write great hits, are strong personalities. That really helps them from a publicity point of view. They connect with their fans," she added.
