Robert Pattinson's fans are a devoted group. Indeed, some people might call the twihards more of an obsessed mob. Their zealous interest in and their devotion to their Twilight idol is rivalled only by the love Justin Bieber's beliebers lavish upon their Teen Dream. As many fans often do with superstars, the twihards are known for giving their idol gifts. Some bring him books they think might peak his interest. Others try to give him kisses. Although the latter gift is a bit self-serving, both those presents are sweet and thoughtful, and Rob probably appreciates them. But, alas, some other gifts, not so much.
In a recent interview, Robert Pattinson reminisced about his Twilight heart-throb days and how some twihards had trouble containing themselves. He also complained about the just plain disgusting "gifts" that many twihards actually were crazy--er--creative enough to give him. According to Rob, many fans used to actually "send him vials of their own blood."
What?!
"People used to go absolutely insane," Rob recalls. "They couldn't hold themselves together at all."
For once, Pattinson is dead on the money in dissing his fans. Anyone who would cut his or her own flesh, then bleed into a vial, then mail it (or personally pass it) to a movie star--or anyone else for that matter--is in desperate need of therapy. Rob also complains that his fans used to scream "terrifying things" at him like, "Rob! I just want to touch your hair!"
With all due respect to RPattz, having one's hair touched is nothing compared to having someone slip you a bottle of human blood. Poor Rob.
Interestingly, when a journalist recently asked Robert Pattinson if he wished "it would all just go away?" his reply was unequivocally negative.
"No, actually. I'm clinging on to that for dear life," he laughs. "That's my career!"
Wonder what the twihards gave Kristen Stewart?
