We're not ashamed to admit that every year around this time, you can catch us totally sulking about the fact that we're not Canadian. No, it's not because we wish we could be from the homeland of Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen (okay, maybe a little), but because we know that the MuchMusic Video Awards just aired in all their glory and we couldn't watch. Remember when Justin and Selena publically flirted on stage and we had to wait until the next day to watch? Yep, we do, too. If you didn't get the memo about Canada's awesome award show, don't worry, we've got you covered. Check out the full list of winners right here, and watch our fave performances of the night below!
Just like at the
Billboard Awards,
LMFAO started the show off with a bang. The guys also hosted the evening, and they made sure to keep everyone party rocking alllll night long.
With our fave performance of the evening, Katy Perry stunned everyone, emerging as a butterfly while singing her new single, "Wide Awake." Her head-to-toe rhinestone outfit made the moment even more magical.
In case you didn't know, Carly Rae Jepsen is Canadian, making a performance of "Call Me Maybe" basically a given. Yep, still can't stop listening to this one.
Kelly Clarkson slayed the performance of "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," completely pumping up the crowd as per usual.
Of course the show wouldn't be complete without Canada's finest, Justin Bieber closing out the evening singing two songs from his new album, Believe.
Which performance was your fave? Did you watch the MMVAs? What performance did we leave out?
