Jamie Oliver, famous celebrity chef and host of the television show "Food Revolution", is holding a revolution day of his own. On May 19th, Oliver has recruited over 800,000 people in nearly 500 cities across the globe to call attention to the growing problems of obesity and poor nutrition. The goal is to encourage individuals (and business and schools and families) to host events in their own towns that promote healthy eating.
Unfortunately, Oliver, though determined to change the way we eat, hasn't been a large proponent of vegetarianism as a method for that change, instead espousing the benefits of "natural" food – including, many times, "natural" meat and cheese.
Luckily, celebrity pal Alyssa Milano has teamed up with Oliver and decided to host a vegetarian Food Revolution Dinner.
Milano has been a long-time vegetarian and serves only organic food to her baby, Milo.
Milano is just one of many celebrities committed to Oliver's cause, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Bieber, and Jennifer Aniston.
