My students are very particular of what they love, and what they hate. This is especially important for them when it comes to the songs I show them at the beginning of lessons. At the moment, they simply cannot get enough of 'Waka waka', with Shakira. Solveig found a brilliant version on IKU that has the 'Waka waka' song, but with a video of Lion King instead of the music video. They really respond to this, and find it just as exciting every time. They even like this song better than two of their previous favourites: 'Baby' by Justin Bieber, and 'The Show' by Lenka. What I find entertaining about this song in particular, is that the artist sings in three different languages, English, Spanish and Afrikaans. To watch my students sing and dance to this song makes me both proud and frankly, a little giggly.

I also want to bring up one other topic: plans for next year. Since I came to China I have constantly changed opinions on whether to stay, go home, start uni or work. It seems I have finally reached a decision.

I will stay at my school until the finishing date, travel around China about a weeks time, then fly to Singapore and stay with a friend for a week, then go home to Norway. There I will start a new part-time job, hopefully get a private tutor and improve my mathematical skills, and get involved in Unge Hoyre (a rightwinged political youth party). However; if I am accepted at Tromso law school, I will have to reconsider studying in Norway. If not, I will apply for universities in Danmark, England and Singapore. The dream situation would be to study business at a university in England, and do one or two semesters in either Singapore or Hong Kong.

Now that the plan is finalised, I can't wait to get started!
